By the way, for anyone interested in that guitar Jacob is playing, it's a rather unique instrument. It's a custom 5-string and he has it tuned to be able to play lots of open voicings, which he used a lot in this song. He did an in-depth show-and-tell in his interview with Paul Davids, a well-known guitar channel on YT. It's worth a watch if you need more Jacob Collier in your life, which is everyone.

I recently lost my step dad that meant the world for my mom.. it's hard seeing her be alone.. she's normally very stoic and strong, but after a glass of wine or two, her defenses come down and she just wells up and you can feel the pain ripping though her heart because of how much she misses him.. it's been 8 months and she's still not ready, but there will be a day when I'll show her this version of Little Blue, and we'll cry some good cathartic tears together to mourn her loss and I'll remind her of the fact that she's not alone and that she is still loved by everyone around her until her last moment here on earth..
